Love lyrics are the basis of creativity of many Russian poets. And this is not surprising, because love itself is multifaceted. She can give joy and pleasure, but at the same time, often makes you suffer. The duality of love is the mystery that sooner or later everyone has to solve. At the same time, poetic natures tend to tell about their feelings not only to the subject of their hobbies, but also often trust them to paper, creating amazingly beautiful poems, quivering and sublime.

Mikhail Zakharovich Tretyakov, the father of the Tretyakov brothers, the founders of the Tretyakov Gallery, came from a poor merchant family. In his spiritual testament, shortly before his death, he wrote: “Since the image of the trade in my sons is known to me, I hope that they will follow all my rules that I tried to inspire in them.” His sons elder Pavel (1832-1898) and the younger Sergey (1834-1892) continued the work of his father. From the various trade in the shops (linen, bread, firewood) in the Old Gostiny Dvor they very soon turned to serious entrepreneurship.
Since 1860, the Tretyakovs owned a shop that was located in Moscow in Kitaygorodsky district opposite the Stock Exchange on Ilyinka Street – “a wide shiny street of capitalists and bankers”, where they sold both Russian and foreign goods, mainly fabrics. Since the mid 1860s. they owned the Novo-Kostroma Linen Manufacture. And by the end of the nineteenth century, they occupied one of the first places in Russia among manufacturers. Continue reading
There are several types of batik – hot, cold, free painting. They differ in the way the fabric is backed up. As a reserve in hot batik wax is used. The wax is applied using a special tool called chanting. The places covered with wax do not absorb paint, and also limit its distribution. Hot batik is called hot because the wax is used in “hot” molten form. This method is mainly used for applying color images on cotton fabric.
Upon completion, the wax is removed from the surface of the fabric. The effect of painting is achieved through layer-by-layer fabric coating.
